The manor house of the plantation complex in this 1843 plan by Joseph Antoine
Pueyo survives to this day in Bywater. Its modern address is 3933 Chartres St., in
the square bounded by Chartres (formerly Moreau), Bartholomew, Royal (formerly
Casa Calvo), and Alvar. The location is only six blocks from the Phoenix Ballroom
site (See 038.045).
