The Notarial Archives
is a government agency that files and maintains land records and other
contracts recorded in Orleans Parish. In addition, the
Notarial Archives assists Notary Public applicants by offering
testing and application information. The agency also serves historical researchers and
genealogists through its research center.
FILING FEE INCREASE - EFFECTIVE SEPTEMBER 14, 2009
Pursuant to Louisiana Revised Statute 44:181.7 (Act 118 of the 2009 Regular Legislative Session, effective 6-23-09), filing fees in the Notarial Archives Division have increased by $10 for the filing of all documents. Effective September 14, 2009, the Clerk's Office will implement the increase. Filing Fees shall be paid to the Clerk of Court at the time documents are filed.
